Rent a private boat
DFDS Canal Tour's fleet consists of 16 new boats of which 6 are covered.
Our covered boats can be rented for private tours with or without a guide all year round. Normally we provide a Danish and English speaking guide on all private tours and this is included in the price. During the cold season our boats are heated for your comfort.
You can start and finish the tour almost everywhere in the harbour as long as the quay is not too high up. We can set the route any way you wish as long as it is within the boundaries of Copenhagen harbour.
If you are looking to make the experience of sailing with us on a private boat an unique experience we also collaborate with various different lectureres and speakers who can tell you about our city's impressive architecture and history. You could also chose a different kind of tour by hiring one of the many stand up comedians who regularly work with us or how about a jazzband who will make your tour a swinging success.
Our covered boats can carry a maximum of 104 guests under the roof with 40 additional seats outside.
Please note: From the 1st of October to the 31st of March the capacity of the boats is lowered to the 104 indoor seats due to harbour regulations.
 Our standard product is a covered boat including a captain and a guide. who speaks Danish and English. If you wish we can also arrange for a guide who speaks either German, Spanish, Italian, French or Portuguese. Please note that this has to be arranged in advance. You are also welcome to conduct the tour yourself or hire a tour guide. As an example The Association of Authorized Guides in Copenhagen offer tours in 24 different languages. In that case our guide will only act as security staff onboard. You can also use our boats as a water taxi for transportation across the harbour. It is often the fastest way to get from one point in the harbour area to another. We can pick you up at many of the hotels or office buildings a long the harbour and transport you to events at the Opera, the Royal Theatre Play House or at a restaurant.

In collaboration with a number of different restaurants DFDS Canal Tours offer a private, exclusive harbour and canal cruise combined with everything from a simple lunch menu to three course meals or champagne and canapées onboard our covered, heated restaurant boats - all year round.
Our restaurant boats are the perfect settings for many events - the surroundings will always ensure an unforgettable experience.
