DFDS Canal Tours main aim is to influence the environment through the way in which the business is run. It is very important for us that the employees take part in the decision making, especially when it comes to decisions to do with our work environment and sorroundings within which we have to work.

DFDS Canal Tours is not a particularly polluting business and today we only use a limited amount of dangerous chemicals and our aim is to replace all our diesel powered boats with equivalents run on electricity.

Notice regarding terms of contract and liability restrictions

Applicable law – The ticket and the passenger haulage are subject to Danish law, including the provisions set forth in the amendments of ‘The Danish Maritime Act of 1998’ (DMSA 98).

Rules of restricted liability – Especially chapter 9 in The Danish Maritime Act of 1998, regarding restrictions of liability are applicable to this agreement. All provisions regarding Canal Tours’ future restrictions or exempts from liability are equally deemed applicable to the advantage of anyone serving in the company’s service. No agent, nor personnel or representatives who work for the company, are authorized to alter, modify or withdraw from the provisions of this contract.

NB: This contract may be subject to the Athens’s Convention, and in most instances this holds the company non-liable for any loss of or damage to any hand luggage, personal injury or death. The agreement has certain provisions regarding personal valuables.

General terms and conditions: Terms of contract and rules of restricted liability are applicable to this ticket. Make sure you have read and understood these provisions, before commencing your boat trip.
