Sailing Information Are the boats covered when it rains? We can never guarantee covered boats but strive to adjust the boat type used to the weather situation where possible. The Waterbusses are mainly open boats. Because we cannot guarantee a covered boat when it rains we have decided to offer all our guests on the open boats a free poncho if it should rain. Where do I find information about delayed or cancelled departures? Information about delays or cancellations will when possible be posted on our website www.CanalTours.com You can also contact our office on telephone +45 32 96 30 00. Do you do tours to Middelgrundsfortet? No we have no tours to Middelgrundsfortet or Flakfortet. We are only allowed to operate within the boundaries of Copenhagen harbour. When does season 2011 start? We sail all year around except for the 24th-25th of December and the 1st of January.  The waterbusses sail from the 20th of May to the 4th of September. Guided Tours Do the guided tours make any stops along the route? No the tour is non-stop. It starts and finishes at the same place. On Board Can we bring our own drinks? Yes, you are more than welcome to bring your own drinks (but please remember to take any bottles or cans with you when you leave). Can we take our dog with us on the tour? Yes, dogs are allowed on our boats as long as they are on a leach and can be controlled. Dogs are not allowed on the fortress Trekroner. Can we bring a buggy/stroller or pram? It is difficult because there is not a lot of room on the boats. On the waterbus the captain will assess how many buggies/strollers or prams he can allow on board with regard to our safety regulations. On the guided tours we do not allow buggies/strollers or prams but if you go from Gammelstrand our staff at the ticket office will look after it. Can we bring a wheelchair on board? Unfortunately we do not have a ramp and there a few steps from the street to our ticket offices and again in the boat. The wheelchair will have to be carried on board. There is room for maximum 2 wheelchairs on each boat.   How many passengers can fit in one boat? Our open boats can carry up to 168 passengers while the covered boats can carry up to 150 passengers (of which 104 are under the roof). Are there toilets on board? No, we have no toilet facilities on board the regular tour boats. There are public toilets near our ticket offices at both Nyhavn and Gammelstrand. Are there life wests on board? Yes, we carry life wests for all passengers on board including special wests for children. For more information please see safety on board. On board Can we bring our own drinks? Tickets and Prices Can HT's tickets/cards be used on the waterbusses? No these are only for Movia/Arriva's yellow Harbour busses. At what age to children start paying the adult fare? The adult fare is paid by everyone from the age of 12. Can you pay with credit card? Yes, we accept credit cards both at our tickets offices and on the waterbus. We accept: Dankort, Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard, Maestro, JCB, CUP og American Express. We do not charge any fees for the transaction. Can you pay with foreign currencies? Yes, we accept the following currencies (only notes): Euro, British Pound, American Dollars, Norwegian Crowns,  Swedish Crowns. I need a receipt - how do I get one? We use the till receipt as tickets. The ticket is then checked an torn upon embarkation but you can keep it for your accounts. Please not that the majority of our tours carry no VAT.
