A harbour is a breath and a history book for a city. Not least the harbour of Copenhagen which lies like an aorta through the oldest and the younger parts of the city.

The canals are small, fine veins, which provide the city’s ventricles with blue reflections and landing strips for the city’s ducks and gulls. But not only the wharfs but also the houses are important. The lovers sit on the first, the last have housed many famous people. And it is well known, I think, that one way of getting to know Copenhagen is by taking a harbour and canal tour.
