In 2007, Copenhagen defined itself as the environmental capital of Europe. The vision for 2015 is to become the Eco-Metropole of the world. In order to meet the vision four themes has been defined; Worlds best city for cycles, centre for world climate policy, A green and blue capital city a clean healthy major city. The harbour of Copenhagen plays an important role in two last mentioned themes. Durring the two-hour long canaltour we`ll see example of this and how Copenhagen Harbour succesfully has transformed itself from a former industrial area into a thriving recreational zone for culture and living. We`ll look as brand new urban settlements along the harbour as well as into futureplanning of Nordhavnen in the northern end of the harbour of Copenhagen.
