Transformation of the harbour of Cph from industrial to recreative use
Tour last 2 - 3 hours, depending on visit to land.
| The tour will explain the story about the facinating transformation of Copenhagens harbour during the last decade. Focus will be on the new and ambitious projects and master plans; the OPERA and the NEW PLAYHOUSE. GEMINI RESIDENCE and HAVNEHOLMEN – luxury penthouses and appartments. SLUSEHOLMEN – new individual housing with Dutch inspired city planning. ISLANDS BRYGGE – recreative harbourfront. NORDHAVN - new urban development at the harbour. HOLMEN – belonging to the Danish Marine for 300 years, now an area serving as creative campus with education and housing. The tour starts at the Royal Library, the Black Diamond, where the kickstart to the late history of Copenhagens harbour begins. For the first time in recent time, the state as client builds grand and spectacular architecture. |

| The tour goes to the southern end of the harbour passing by the former Soya factory with the transformed seedsilos, now luxury penthouses. Havnenholmen penthouses appears majestic from the other side. At the southern end of the harbour Sluseholmen housing appears with great individuality, as classic Copenhagen blocks in a canal invironment. Islands Brygges harbourfront and harbourbath will be seen on the way north again – the park stretch as a unique piece of alternative harbourfront, initiated by the local citizens of the area. |
 | Holmen will be rounded – home of the marine through 300 years, now serving as housing area and campus of creativity. Lastly Nordhavn will be visited with the possibillity to go on land and visit the new and dense and urban fabric and plaza located to the harbourfront. On the way back the New Royal Playhouse and the Opera with its axsis will be experienced.
